- fresh ginger, chopped into big chunks
- yam, peeled and chopped into chunks
- brown sugar
- Slightly smash the ginger chunks with the side of the knife.
- Put ginger and yam into a pot of water. Bring it to boil.
- Simmer it for 30 mins, add brown sugar to taste.
